Post your questions, concerns and ideas on the midterm here!
Your midterm will consist of:
* Objective questions from 1) your textbook review questions at the end of each chapter 1-3; and 2) a few past AP USG exams related to content we have covered.
* Know your vocab! Some you will define, some you will use, and in general you are to show mastery of it.
* Know the Constitution (original form, not the amendments which we have not covered yet). Use the popup practice Constitution to prepare. You will be asked to identify some aspects of it, but not too much particulars. Know it but you don’t need to memorize it.
* Short answer questions covering our major topics. Use your notes.
* Essay question. You will be able to choose from several options.
* You will also have a current events reading to evaluate in a way that demonstrates what you have learned over the past week.
Easy enough? 🙂
Oh, know Federalist no. 10. Post general questions here.

Do we have to do anything with Bryce?
Nope. Sorry about including Bryce there. But heh, give him a couple minutes. He gives us a good view of a British elitist trying to figure out democracy. You guys will share his view when you take over the world…. 🙂
Can we not do the exam and say we did?
What’s in it for me?
No grading and not having to waste time on objective crap when we could be learning new things…
Sounds good to me. In class tomorrow we can roll dice and get our grade from that (anyone have weighted die?).
I like a good bet.
very convincing!
8:50 pm. Bromley taking the machine, “Whitewalls” as it is now known as, out for a ride. Think the witch in the Wizard of Oz.
Got Qs? put ’em here. Will be back by 9:30 or so, but won’t be up much later than that. You are gonna do great.

Do we have to know Federalist number 10, and in what sense/context?
Be prepared to explain Madison’s view on
1) Faction:
a) causes and how to manage them and what is acceptable to him
b) effects and how to manage them and what is acceptable to him
2) his rationale for the large over a small republic
Good luck tomorrow! Prepare well, get some sleep and enjoy your learning.
G’nite!
